About

PostureAnalysisTool is a free, independent tool that estimates simple posture metrics — forward head position, shoulder level, and hip level — from a single photo, using AI body-keypoint detection that runs entirely in your browser. No account, no photo upload to a server, no cost.

What it actually does

You provide a photo (side-profile or front-facing, taken with your camera or uploaded from your device), and the tool runs Google's MoveNet pose-detection model — via TensorFlow.js — locally on your device to find 17 body keypoints: ears, shoulders, hips, and more. From those keypoints it computes two things: how far forward your ear sits relative to your shoulder and torso height (a side-profile marker sometimes discussed in the context of forward head posture), and how level your shoulders and hips are relative to each other (a front-view marker of left/right symmetry). Every formula is documented, with the reasoning behind it, on the How This Tool Works page — nothing is a black box.

Who this is for

Anyone curious about their own posture from a desk-work, screen-time, or general-wellness angle; people who want a repeatable way to track a self-observed change over weeks or months; and anyone who wants to understand a posture-related concept (forward head posture, shoulder symmetry) with a concrete, personal example rather than just reading about it in the abstract. It is explicitly not built for, marketed as, or validated as a clinical or diagnostic tool — see the next section.

What it is not, plainly stated

How your data is handled

Every photo you analyze is processed entirely on your own device — nothing is uploaded to, or stored on, our servers, because there is no server-side image processing at all. See the full privacy policy for the complete picture, including the third-party network requests the page does make (loading the pose-detection code and model files, which never include your photo).
